A 101-year old woman in Rochester, New York was stabbed to death by her downstairs neighbor. This has left the community in a fright.
According to reports, 54-year-old Gregory Jesmer stabbed 101-year-old to death this week, just weeks after celebrating her birthday. She sustained repeated stab wounds to the neck, throat, and upper torso.
Rochester authorities apprehended Jesmer Wednesday when he was caught following a 13-year-old resident of the same apartment complex. He offered her money to come to his apartment. Jesmer then proceeded to chase the girl. A motorist called the police and intervened.
Jesmer pleaded not guilty to second degree murder Wednesday in a Rochester court. He is being held in Monroe County jail without bail.
Public servants found Morrison dead Tuesday morning in her dwelling at the Rochester Highland Apartments. A senior transportation driver was concerned when they went to pick her up for her weekly ride and she was not responsive.
Monica O’Brien, head of the D.A.’s elder abuser bureau said, “This is one of the most egregious crimes that we as a community have ever seen.”
This also makes Marcia one of the nation’s oldest murder victims on record.
