Drake is known for courting some of the most popular Instagram models and adult film stars, be they attractive or not. While most women who drool over him may not perceive him as the litigious type the 31-year-old found himself in an awkward media frenzy Tuesday upon his decision to sue a former fling.
This week, a New York groupie and adult actress, by the stage name of Layla Lace may have gotten in way over her head, as she’s being sued for an elaborate scheme to extort the “In My Feelings” rapper out of millions of dollars. The adult entertainer made false claims that Drake impregnated her. She also went so far to make false sexual assault allegations against him.
Layla Lace’s real name as provided on court documents is Aquana Morris. She is being held legally responsible for civil extortion, intentional infliction of emotional distress, abuse of process, fraud, and defamation.
According to affidavits, Drake met Lace in February of 2017 during his tour in Manchester, UK. The two consented to have sex one night. Lace got emotionally attached. After she left the UK, she began texting Drake, offering to come back to Europe to see him. He stopped responding to her. That’s when things got ugly.
Suddenly, Lace was using her Instagram and other media outlets to make public claims Drake had impregnated her. After a request for a paternity test, there was no further talk of the alleged baby. It is unclear whether or not Lace resorted to having an abortion or if the baby was a figment of her imagination.
Her next move didn’t exactly help her credibility. After her pregnancy plan fell through, Lace resorted to her plan B. She made sexual assault allegations against him and tried to make him pay to keep her quiet about it. Drake didn’t pay up. Instead he sic’ed his lawyers on her.
Looks like this chick was way in over her head. He manipulation tactics all failed miserably and now she’s facing some serious legal repercussions.
