Sinead McNamara, a 20-year-old Instagram model from Australia, has died after hanging out on a billionaire’s yacht in Greece. The boat, Mayan Queen IV, is owned by Mexican businessman Alberto Bailleres, has six storeys and is valued at approximately $140m (£108m).
McNamara was found in a critical condition on Friday, when the boat was docked in Kefalonia, according to local media.
The model died while being arilifted to the hospital the coastguard told The Times.
The cause of death is unknown at this time.
McNamara’s Instagram account has more than 12,000 followers.
In a post last month McNamara disclosed she was “living [and] working on a boat seeing all that the world has to offer”.
Authorities say Bailleres and his family were not on the boat at the time of McNamara’s complications. They left two days before.
Sinead’s mother and sister were already on their way to see McNamara for a previously planned family holiday when the news broke that she had passed.Contest powered by Rewards Fuel
