Alan Alda, most widely known for his role in “M.A.S.H.”, announced he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
During his visit on “CBS This Morning” the 82-year-old elaborated on his condition. He learned about his malady three and a half years ago. Since then he has still continued to act and make appearances.
Alda became self conscious when he looked at footage of himself on a podcast. He saw his unsteady hands and thought eventually the public might catch on. Rather than let the press come out with a sad story, he decided to announce this himself with hopes he could be of inspiration to those who are living with Parkinson’s.
