11 municipalities in Mexico have been declared a state of emergency in lieu of flooding from a tropical depression. At lest three people have been pronounced dead as of Friday.
The torrential rainfall started Thursday and left up to 14 inched of rain in the span of one day. Storm drains overflowed.
Mexico’s state Attorney General Juan Jose Rios Estavillo informed the public that one person drowned. Two others were electrocuted. Three women are missing in Cuiliacan. They are presumed dead.
Approximately 100 schools were mutilated by floodwaters.
