Off-duty police officer shoots man outside Texas night club

An off-duty deputy was working security outside Las Cumbres night club when he fatally shot a man in a parked vehicle in Houston early Monday morning.

According to reports from Harris County Sheriff’s office, off-duty deputies approached two men in a pickup truck and saw a gun in the car when they shined their flashlights.

Lieutenant Chris Sandoval claims the officers told the men to step out of the vehicle and not to touch the gun however the passenger reached for it. One of the deputies then opened fire and killed him.

The driver, who also had a gun, was then taken into custody.

Everyone should know by now that you don’t reach for the gun.
