Think wheelchair-bound people are incapable of committing the ultimate crime of murder? Think again!
22-year-old Maurice Forte was taken into custody Sunday around noon after he shot and killed his mother, grandmother, and sister in their Jackson, Mississippi home.
Authorities say, they were called to a home around 11 a.m. with reports of someone being held hostage. Upon their arrival a wheelchair-bound man was rolling around outside the house with a gun nearby.
Forte admitted to shooting his family. He is now facing three counts of murder.
The victims were later as identified as: Forte’s 67-year-old grandmother Eddie Mae Wofford, his 49-year-old mother Miyuki Wofford and his 26-year-old sister Kyisha Wofford.
Forte is being held without bond and is awaiting an initial court appearance, authorities said.
